Beutelwolf/Thylacinus

Und wieder hatte ich was anderes geplant, als ich letztenendes gezeichnet habe. Ich habe auf Wikipedia gelesen, dass in der Nacht vom 06.-07. September 1936 im Zoo von Hobarth auf Tasmanien der letzte in Gefangenschaft lebende Beutelwolf starb. Bekannt wurde das Tier unter dem Namen "Benjamin". Aber es war wohl zum einen ein Weibchen und hatte wohl laut den damaligen Zoopflegern gar keinen Namen. Es ist traurig, dass der Mensch es nicht schafft seinen Lebensraum mit anderen Spezien zu teilen. Vielleicht träumte der letzte Beutelwolf einen fernen Traum von Freiheit, als starb.

And again something different planed, as I drawed at last. I have read on Wikipedia, that in the night from the 6th to 7th of September 1936 the last thylacine, who was held in captivitiy in the zoo of Hobarth on Tasmania, died. This individual became known as "Benjamin". But it seem to have been a female. And the zookeeper from that era told, that the last thylacine had no name during its lifetime. It is sad, that the people are not able to share their environment with other species. Maybe the last thylacine dreamed a distant dream of freedom when it died.
